American Onshore was founded and is led by Dean Roberson, Esq. in Charlotte, North Carolina.  Mr. Roberson practiced law with firms in New York City, Washington DC and Charlotte for 14 years and with the Bank of America Legal Department for 3 years.

In 2003, Mr. Roberson joined Bank of Amercia’s Commercial Real Estate Servicing business, the fourth largest servicer of securitized commercial mortgage loans in the U.S.  Within this business, Mr. Roberson headed the Structured Loan Asset Management and Special Servicing teams and led the resolution of $30 Billion of troubled commercial real estate financings.  He later headed the Servicing business, managing 125 employees and $110 Billion of commercial mortgage loans.  In these roles Mr. Roberson interpreted and negotiated complex legal agreements frequently.  Following the sale of this business to another financial institution, Mr. Roberson founded American Onshore Legal Services in 2014.

Mr. Roberson is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of  Virginia.  He is licensed to practice law in New York, North Carolina, Virginia and the District of Columbia.
